How Can SBIR Help Your Business?
The SBIR program funds high-risk projects at the earliest stages of development, before companies can attract venture capital. Terms are favorable, and the companies maintain the commercial rights to their intellectual property such as patents.

Is SBIR For You?
(1)  Do you have an idea or concept of how something could be done better?

(2)  Is that idea or concept technology based?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, you may be a candidate for Phase I of the SBIR program, and be eligible to apply for up to $100,000 grant from the Federal Government to explore and demonstrate the feasibility of your idea or concept.

If the idea proves to be feasible, and it can be used to either: (a) expand an existing business, (b) develop a new business, or (3) be licensed to another business,  you may be a candidate for Phase II of the SBIR program, and be eligible to apply for a Federal grant of up to $750,000.  The funds are intended to be used to  demonstrate the commercialization of the technology that resulted from the original idea or concept.
